We all had to perform exceptionally over the past few years and cope with situations that more than challenged us. But we mastered it, and finally, the word was again: normality! A word we not only heard frequently this year but also felt. Despite these burdens, the standards were reset to the status quo ante, and much was demanded of us. But we were able to prove ourselves again and triumph despite the setbacks of the past years.
But let's talk about us. We, the student representation, consisting of Tobias Wolff, Valentin Binder, and Dogan Güngördü, focused this year on the one hand on democracy, but also on the expansion of our projects.
First, we revolutionized the student representation election and took it to a new level by not only significantly expanding the presentation of candidates but also making the entire process more impartial, sophisticated, and serious. But the two student parliaments were also, in addition to regular surveys, an enormous step towards giving students more co-determination rights. Apart from that, we also included the lower school representation in the SGA (School Community Committee) and hope to finally give the entire lower school a voice next year.
Of course, our work was far from over. The successful request for partitions for our urinals and the dispenser for sanitary products were a very important part of our work to make things more comfortable for all of us elsewhere as well.
In the area of mental health, we were also able to improve everyday school life, with the close cooperation with the school psychotherapist and the hopefully soon completed introduction of confidential teachers making up the main part. The certificate system could also be expanded to show more recognition for people who make an extra effort.
Events were also not neglected this year. On the one hand, the e-sports events, where the last big, cross-school one attracted a lot of attention. Likewise, the donation campaign for Ukraine, for which we were able to raise a very considerable amount of useful things.
Thus, I wish you a relaxing summer and thank everyone for the good cooperation.
